Tile detection & Palette organization
Adventure Weaver » Devlog
Today let me introduce you to the Scanner tool and the organizer
The scanner:
- If you have an image with the different sprites splitted it will automatically detect them and generate a box containing them
- The box will be always using the most common used tile size
- The box can be modified to make it bigger or smaller
- It also reorganize the different detected images to use as less space as possible
- You can also discard parts of the image you are not interested in and texture will update
- The exported of course exports the version with the images already packed
The organizer
- Organizer allows to move the different tiles from a tile set, imagine you have tiles organized in a way that you don't like, simple drag and drop them to the place you want
- There is a sprite that needs to be centered? no worries, move the box created by the scanner and it will be updated in the organizer and the palette
- Organizer also allows you to add empty spaces to images which is useful as the tool always requires at least one empty tile to work
Here is a gif with both tools working together
